The only thing missing is sand and ocean. The food tastes exactly like the food I had in Ocho Rios. The jerk chicken is very spicy but flavorful. The sweet and spicy chicken was a great balance and sweet and heat. The fried plantains balanced everything out. Great portion size to price ratio. I ordered 2 meats 2 sides and plantains for about $11.

Now this is a place a non-Jamaican can appreciate for food. We lunched here yesterday and nothing, absolutely nothing was disappointing. One of my first loves is finding a little mom-pop restaurant. Often these places actually have food " like home". It hasn't been commercialized and homogenized... and definitely not Americanized thereby losing its wonderful character. Jada's is just such a place!

I had a jerked chicken plate - meat and two. My partner had oxtails and two.

The jerked chicken was all meat, lots of meat. It was spicy and tender and soaking in gravy. You've got to like spicy for this dish but it is so yummy. I had greens and plantains on the side. The greens were delicious and the plantain had an edge of sweetness that complimented the jerk.

The oxtails sent us heavenward!  They had to have been cooked for days because the tenderness was magnificent. The seasoning included a bit of cinnamon that highlighted every bite. This time the sides were greens and zucchini. I've already told you that the greens were delicious so let's focus on the zucchini. This was tender crisp, not watery over cooked squash.  It was flavorful and abundant but let's say that both plates were abundant and yielded a very nice take- home portion for each of us.

You will enjoy this humble establishment anytime. I also notice that Saturday night they have a fish fry and live reggae. You can guess where I'll be one of these Saturday's forthcoming!

I was looking for a Jamaican restaurant in Marietta which is where my hotel was. Out of all the places I seen on yelp, this place had the best reviews. It is in a small plaza off a pretty busy street. When I walked inside no one was already there. I was happy about that because I wanted to look around and view the menu. I decided on the jerk chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage. My friend got the jerk chicken, rice and peas, and macaroni. I also got a coconut juice which was new for me. The food was only about $12 which I thought was a great price. The restaurant looked very clean and the owner was really nice. He even gave us the lunch price even though lunch was over. The jerk chicken was good I just wish they offered some type of jerk or bbq sauce to go with it. Unfortunately I took pictures of the place, but I forgot to take pictures of my food oops.
